We Believe…

Grace alone. Faith alone. Scripture alone.

Sola Gratia: God loves the world, His creation. Even though we are sinful and don’t deserve his love, God sent his Son, Jesus, to be our sacrifice, redeeming us from sin and eternal death. Sola Fide: We hear the Gospel, believe it, and receive the redemption and forgiveness offered by Christ’s sacrifice. Our own efforts cannot merit salvation. Sola Scriptura: The Bible is God’s infallible and perfect Word. It contains both Law and Gospel and is the only rule and norm for Christian doctrine.

We join in confession of the three ecumenical creeds: the Apostle’s, Nicene, and Athanasian. We worship the Holy Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

On the Universal Christian Church

Our calling is to make disciples of every nation, bearing witness to Jesus Christ through preaching the Gospel and administration of the Sacraments.

On the Mission of the Church

Along with God’s Word, Baptism is a miraculous means of grace which creates and strengthens the gift of faith. Baptism is for all ages, from infants through adulthood, and is commanded by God.

On Holy Baptism

In the Lord’s Supper we receive in, with, and under the bread and wine the true body and blood of our Savior, who died on the cross and is now risen and ascended.

On Holy Communion

God created Men and Women to bear his image and to serve and glorify Him. Marriage is God’s joining of one man and one woman.

On Gender & Family

Abortion is contrary to God’s word. We celebrate and protect life, which is God’s gift, from conception to natural death.

On the Sanctity of Life

Our Synod

Our congregation is part of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod. This is a national denomination spanning the United States and in fellowship with other believers around the country and the world. You can learn more about the history of Lutheran Christianity, our beliefs, and how we share these cherished ideals with others on our Synod’s website.

Putting Belief into Action

The Bible is the lens that focuses our worship, teaching and interaction with others. Because people matter to God, we serve both the physical and spiritual needs of our congregation and the surrounding community. We bear each others’ burdens and show the world we are Christians by our love for one another. We bring absolutely everything before the Lord in prayer, as he taught us and because God hears us!

Join Our Family of Faith

You are warmly invited to join us. St. Paul tells us that “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” You’ll hear the Word at Hope, and receive its promises along with God’s sacramental gifts. You can receive instruction from Pastor Joel about becoming a Lutheran and joining in Communion with us.

And if you are coming from another LCMS church, we invite you to reach out and let us know. Join us for worship next Sunday!
